Tracy,

there was a guy over at thirdgen.org long ago, with a 82 or so Z28 with a 305 that would run in the 12's. No joke. But it was the most radical 305 you have ever heard of supercharger and all.

Everyone asked him why a 305 and not a 350. His answer was simply, I wanted to take a 305 into the 12's.

I don't understand the reasoning, but whatever flips you bonnet I guess. He said it was because everyone said it couldn't be done.

It's amazing someone would do this...just to say I have a 305 that runs 12's...me, it'd be much funner saying I have a 355 or 383 that does 11's...

My friend has a 305 and he just put an edelbrock cam, performer intake, performer carb, and hedman headers and he thinks its gunna be fast.....ha. He said he had vortec heads on it, is this possible? If he did he would have to buy a different manifold first of all so I told him hes full of crap and his truck will still be slow.
