2wd to 4wd, regular cab or crew

I'm looking for a new truck to invest in, I haul a 8 1/2 foot camper on my truck. I'm noticing more and more that I need more cab space to do more travelling.

I was wondering if anyone has ever swapped a 4wd sysytem onto a 2wd truck?

I am looking for a 1 ton dually crew cab 4x4, but all I can find around my area is 1ton crew cab 2wd trucks. I was wondering if I should keep looking for my dream truck or should I just grab a 2wd and do a 4wd swap to it.

But I have zero I dea what to do to a 2wd to make it a 4wd, I think it would be fun cause then I can put the kind of equipment under it as I like!

If you are talking about the 73-87style crew cab dually 4x4's, you might as well try to find hen's teeth. Most of em are either beaten to death or parted out already. If $ isn't an issue, do the conversion to a 2wd, it probably won't be that complicated. Sorry I have no tips on how to, but good luck.
