Run 12 volts to the distributor power, try and cross the starter to turn it over while dribbling gas down the too-small-for-that-intake carb. Make your deal first though; depending on it firing and making oil pressure.

I know what you mean. As a kid I got pretty lucky in buying my MANY cars. Even if you end up with a real junker, aside from buying new parts, it is good experience. Take plenty of pictures and keep them on file for reference. Do your research on where to get parts cheap and you won't go wrong. If you have any bad feelings about the truck, don't buy it. Just bide your time, be patient and the right one will show up. (I wish I would have followed my own advice! LOL!)

exactly what he said. if you can get to the starter and hook up a remote starter button it makes it a lot easier. this will eliminate other wiring issues as long as your coil and distributor are good.

Re: ok i found another one is this a good price it seems kind of sketchy

Did you ever check the truck out? Hes listed it twice now for 1k and it still looks unsold. Assuming hes got a title it would be worth 700-800 running or not I think. I am not in the market for that much of a project or I would have checked it out myself. I did ask for more info on the 67 w/454 for 5k that was recently listed though
