Couple questions! Moving to Jacksonville!

I just accepted a job as a sales rep for NAPA's Under Hood sales group out of Jacksonville, and need a little help. Ill be using a Uhaul 24' truck to move and wondered if my 67 will fit on one of those car haulers you can rent to pull your vehicle behind the truck. I know the web site says it wont, but Im willing to chance it if I get some real feedback. Thanks for the help in advance!

As long as you don't have deep dished wheels on it, you should be fine. I would go to uhaul and measure just to make sure.

If it's a tow dolly, I think you'd be fine. Car trailer might be a different matter. The pic below is my SWB on a car trailer from Penske. You can see how close the rear tire is to the end of the trailer.

dont tell uhaul what you plan on towing on the trailer//i used to tell them i was loadin a pinto on the trailer

I towed a 68 C20 lwb on a rental trailer from u-haul. It had the 16.5 split rims, all stock tires. The only problem I had was the straps almost didn't wrap around the tires to tie it down. It had the tall old style tires. Otherwise it fit fine, towed it 85 miles, no problem. They might not have had the longer trailer available where you checked. Thats what it sounds like to me. I towed with 1 of their 24 ft trucks also. Good luck. Carefull you don't ding your doors after loading it on also when you go to get out.

My tires are not too tall, as you can see in my sig, so it looks like Ill be okay. I cant wait too continue my project in sunny florida, and with servicing like 80 NAPA stores I believe Ill finally have the parts hook-up. Repping a line of trannys and motors, some O2 sensors and SeaFoam, and a few other Bosch items.

Well after reading your thread I just happened to stumble on this build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=370815 and the first post has a picture of a swb on a uhaul trailer. Be safe on the drive an have fun. This is the perfect time of year to work on the truck in north Florida, very little yard work to be done and perfect temps.

Jax FL? Been meaning to find out who all else was in this area... what parts of Jacksonville?

Sorry, not sure about a hauler, but I'd use a full trailer rather than one of them two wheel deals, I've used them each time I've moved cars and trucks.

I'm another Indy transplant currently living in Jacksonville. I'm out off of Argyle. As far as the dolly or car transporter. The dolly that Uhaul had wasn't wide enough for my '72. But it fit on the transporter just fine. I had to tell them that I was towing a '90 Jeep Wrangler. That because of my truck doing the towing though.
