Re: How Did you organize your tool chest/tool cart?

pics as promised. I keep about 90% of the tools I need daily at arms reach. it measures 36" wide, 24" deep, and 45" tall. this height works great if I am doing an intake on a Chevy truck as I can sit on the radiator support and turn around and grab whatever I need. the pans are made from 16g steel and the uprights are 1" angle iron. the wheels I robbed from one of my unused Craftsman boxes. before I built this I had a Snap-On 72" long by 30" deep box (well over $8000) and after I go this I managed to go down to the one pictured which dropped me back by $4000 IIRC.
the problem I have now is I am running out of room for stuff that comes in plastic cases. I am thinking of making a form of stilts to raise the top box up about 10" and then store the cases in between.

Re: How Did you organize your tool chest/tool cart?

I have nothing very elaborate. Most of my wrenches & sockets are in five drawers. My sockets have their own drawers for 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2". I made a rack for some of my air tools. It's located above my compressor.

68C15, That is a really nice cart set-up you have. Seems to have the most used tools right at hand, may have to modify mine this year.
