I gave $400 for a '57. It had a rod out the oil pan and had wood bed sides.

I saw that one too, I'm in south central ks, be interesting to see what it brings. I bought a 57 gmc 350 series last year for $500 and drove it home, bought a 58 chevy viking 40 this year for $200 but engine was stuck. Got real shock this past summer when a 55 in about the same shape as the one coming up on auction brought $3500 at a local auction. Sure is interesting on wiw threads what people in different parts of the country think is a fair price is for these old trucks and parts.
