I have stock tires on my 68 c10. you know...the old white 6 lug ones.

they are 15 inch wheels. i'm just wondering what size wheels I can put on it?
i have found some good deals on newer 6 lug wheels on craigslist off of like 2003 trucks. will those fit on my truck even though they are 17 inch? does anyone know the actuall stock tire dimensions? any help would be great guys.

The late model wheels will not work due to the center bore and the backspacing (BS) they are built with.

You can fit any size wheel as long as the bolt patter, center bore, and BS will allow. What are your plans for the truck? How much do you have to spend?

Looking at some Torq Thrust's and some others...don't want to spend too much...less than a grand. I'm just not sure what my wheel dimensions are. i don't know the back spacing or how to find it out. I know the are 15 inch wheels. so i can put on some 17's as long as the bolt pattern and backspacing are the same? does anyone know they exact tire size for this year truck?
