Questions about a possible 4 speed conversion
2 days ago i bought a 1978 Chevy C10 longbed which currently has a 250 I-6 and a 3 spd manual w/a column shift.im going to for sure swap a slightly modified 355 small block but im considering swapping in a 4 speed manual with a floor shift.im wondering what would be a good 4 speed to use a car one or a truck 4 speed.which is more durable, which is better for a modified motor,im also considering swapping in a TH350 that i know is in good condition.i dont want the column shift for the 3 speed as i dont like the way 3on the tree's shift.i dont mind within reason cutting the floor for a shifter.what kind of shifter should i use a factory style 4 speed one or an aftermarket shifter and if aftermarket is there a brand i should strongly consider or to avoid
