Pulled a few parts off a 69 396 truck and was wondering about a couple of things. The bracket on the alternator went straight up. The engine had a smog pump at one time, could this be for that? And also the short bracket in the bottom of the pic. Looks familiar, but can't quite place it. Any ideas? Thanks, Eric

So my lower bracket is the adjuster for power steering i am thinking? The other bracket in question i don't see there. Thanks for the link. I remember seeing that pic now...

The long bracket is the adjustment bracket for the AC compressor. The wide bracket is the adjustment for the alternator and the small bracket is for the power steering pump.

The long skinny bracket looks like top adjuster for smog pump, the top ac is skinny like that as well but has a dog leg in it, that looks straight. The the wide flat is alt. and the short is upper adjuster for ps pump.

I agree that the long skinny upper bracket is the smog pump adjuster, and the short one is the PS pump adjuster,

Thanks for all the help guys. Any one have a pic of these in place? Especially the power steering one? If the snow was gone i could go look at my other truck, but don't feel like digging that out right now. Eric
