1970 Chevrolet C-10, 350 V8, 4BBL, 5.7L. 65,000volt HEI distributor.

It was the Ignition Control Module. Put a new in and I'm back on the road.

would like to point out that the rotors on hei dist are known to burn through which will the cause the module to fail. if you turn rotor over and see a dark spot in center,its starting to arc through and should be replaced.

also keep in mind that the Skip white NEW HEI is the same $$ as the module and it comes with the cap and rotor....so its really a saving to swap out the hole thing

My HEI came from Skip White. I bought a new module for $22.00 got them at NAPA. All what was needed....Thanks.

I didn't notice the rotor starting to arc, however I will take a closer look at it to be for sure. I was concentrating on the removing the module so I could have over looked it. Thanks for tip.
