A/C Diverter Box Question
On my 68 cst the diverter box flap in it seems to be broken I can visually see the plastic broken next to the rubber where the hinge is, so I pulled the box out of my 70 cst and it doesn't seem to be broken but the pivot where the control cable hooks up seems to rotate in the flap so the flap doesn't really move. Is the hinge rubber mounted so it can move some? Just trying to figure out the normal operation of this little box. Thanks

The rod that goes through the door should be solid. The rubber is just a seal that fits around the door. I would say that they are both broken. New ones are available but they are 90 bucks.... It sucks! LockDoc

Re: A/C Diverter Box Question
If you buy a new one---make sure it has some kind of warranty as I bought one from LMC years ago and the rubber cracked and fell apart within 2 years. Sometimes you can repair an original and it will outlast the china junk.
