Re: Question - 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton

The 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton frames are basically the same with a few differences.

The rear cab mounts on a 3/4 ton frame are lower to allow for a thicker rubber mount to allow for a smoother ride in the cab.

The 3/4 ton frame has extra bracing at the cross-member where the trailing arms mount and the trailing arms are stronger because the have extra plates on them.

I am sure some one will chime in with more informations.

Also the '67 frame does not have the dimple for the steering box.
