Rear Suspension Question

My C10 was used as a fith wheel to pull a horse trailer, as a result there are some interesting finds on the truck. One thing I can't quite figure out is the right rear shock. I know it should be forward of the differential but an unclear as to where the shock should bolt to the frame. Obviously the bracket on the frame has been hacked up. It just doesn't seem like moving the shock to the front of the bracket it will line up with the frame. Can someone post a photo of what this is suppose to look like?

Re: Rear Suspension Question

This is the best pic I have right now (at work). But it is pretty clear on the general location. Seems like the bottom shock mount is under the brake line clip. Looks like your's was moved outboard a little.

Re: Rear Suspension Question

Based on your photo it looks like both shocks are even accross the truck to the differential. Does that sound right?

Re: Rear Suspension Question

If I read your question right, the shocks are straight. They are perpendicular to the axle. If you look just under your brake line clip you can see the old welds.
