How much will i gain ?

Hi All. I have a static drop at the moment, but just like most of you guys i want to get the truck lower, However i have 4" between lower a arm and top spring mount, Question is, how much lower will an air bag get me when the bag is deflated,

I dont want to drive any lower than the ride height that i have at the moment but want the truck to sit lower when parked up.

Could someone post a picture of a deflated airbag and measure the distance for me.

Thanks

Re: How much will i gain ?

after removing the bump stops i would say you would gain atleast 2" inches, possibly 3".

Re: How much will i gain ?

That sounds good, have you got any pictures, ?

Why is the top bag plate allways flat, could the upper side of the airbag be recessed into the upper support, or am i missing something.

Thanks.

Re: How much will i gain ?

Measure the distance between the C/L of the lower a-arm pivot point to the ground & figure that distance in your factors.

If the distance from that pivot point to the ground is greater that the distance between the bump-stop area (after removal of said bump-stop), the bump-stop dimension will tell you how much drop is to be gained. If the distance from the a-arm pivot point is less that the bump-stop area, the lower a-arm hitting the ground will be the limiting factor.

Re: How much will i gain ?

doesnt look fully compressed at all, plus you wont need the lower cup that tall.

Re: How much will i gain ?

I agree, thats why i would like to see a picture like mine, off axle stands etc, I think you could loose about half the height of that lower bag cup/support.
