Help Identifying Transmission in my S10
I have a 1996 4.3L V6 4x4......what type of transmission would it be classified as? I see all the different numbers floating around, but i have no clue what type it is...

exactly the same as a 700R4 only different. LOL
4L60E is electronic controlled. the actual designation of a 700R4 is 4L60 |

ok.....the reason im asking is because i am using this transmission in my project of a 1953 GMC ...im looking to switch to a floor shifter instead of using the stock column in my project...any thoughts on which type of what kind of shifter would work well?

I know they had automatic floor shifters in some 98+ S10 Blazers if that helps any
