What wheels fit my truck?

I am needing help again. I have a 1994 Chevy C2500 LD 2wd with 6 lug wheels. Previous owner installed 15" wheels and I want to go back to the 16" wheels. Does anybody know if the wheels off of a 2002 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 will fit. I tried a set off of a 1998 GMC 4X4 and the back spacing was off so much the wheels hit the ball joints and control arms. I think the 02 would be the same but wanting to know if anybody knows more. Thanks for your time and information. Todd

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

I am not sure exactly but my 94 K2500 has 2005 Z71 wheels on it and they are fine on the truck.

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

Thanks dmnall for the information. Looks like you got a good project going also. I think I found ( I am going to look at them tomorrow) a set of stock steel wheels I can use for now and maybe buy something else later.

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

Dude check craigslist. You can find stock 6 luggers for hella cheap with decent tires since everyone buys aftermarket big rims. From 200-300 bucks can get rolling. Bring a jack and just try them on before you pay for them.

One thing though, 15 inch tires are usually cheaper than 16s. Might pay off to keep them in the long run

No problem for the information as I am happy to help out when I have the information. Yeah the 94 is a great project especially for what I will be using as my DD. Stock wheels don't look bad but I can honestly say I prefer the newer z71 wheels *looks great in my opinion*..

Look on Craigslist because here is a set which I bet could get them for 100 - 150 http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/pts/1633931576.html ... Ebay is going to be more expensive and with CL if you don't like the wheels you can walk.

15 inch tires might be cheaper but I prefer 16s on 2wd trucks and 17s on 4wd trucks... Sure in the long run it is around $ 40 - 80 for a set of tires for the bigger wheels but it all depends on what each person likes. I do not like 20s and larger wheels unless you are going to have the larger rotors and drums to stop those huge wheels. Plus I really like the look of the newer stock gm wheels a lot better then the older stock wheels.

Cheers,
Charlie

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

Those on craigslist should be 17s. 150 would be a steal. I wouldn't sell them that cheap. They are really late model. should fit though or be really close to it. I found these locally and there are always a few of these sets available here. http://mcallen.en.craigslist.org/pts/1633126114.html
I think I'm going to get them for mine and paint them back.

Thanks everybody. I found a set of wheels on Craigslist, bought them last night and installed them tonight. Thanks again, Todd

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

My bad. I just bought a set of stock wheels so I could get the junk tires that were on the 15 inches wheels off of the truck. I will still look for a nice set of aftermarket wheels but this is a daily driver so these will work good for now. Thanks again, Todd

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

those look good. Not all rusted up like a lot of those steel wheels are. I was going to get some of those for my truck but they are an narrower that the ones I have. They were probably really cheap too.

Thats a really clean truck man.

Re: What wheels fit my truck?

I forgot to say but I bought the wheels, trim rings, lug nuts, center caps and lug nut caps, all for $150.00 and I have my 15 inch wheel that I can sell now.
