Sweet!! My old ship. Spent 2 years on that ol girl. I feel for those guys/gals. Longest I was out to see was 3 months and I couldn't wait to touch land again, lol You should bring him over to the Monroe swapmeet so we can thank him in person

Buy that Sailor a beer! He is definately a hero in my book. 10 months at sea is something most old salties never have to do. My longest was 6.5 months during Desert Storm. I hope the crew is embellished with plenty of medals and ribbins, and choice of their next duty station. Man, I am really proud of that crew for their sacrafice to American freedom and way of life.

Thanks. I will forward this. I did buy him a drink and also got Him Jay Buhner Autograph. He got a medal for stopping a reactor shutdown. They offered him a teaching Job teaching Nuke tech. Not bad for a 24yr old kid. thanks for all the kind words Jack
