What's the difference between and 81,82,83 dash bezel and other years?

Classic parts and LMC has other years listed but no 81,82,83. Can anyone tell me the difference? Or what it takes to make the other years work?

Re: What's the difference between and 81,82,83 dash bezel and other years?

Hi Estanley,

84 was the year that GM moved the wiper switch from the dash to the turn signal stalk on the steering column. So the 84-up bezels no longer have the wiper switch hole. And I think they also moved the headlight switch up a little so you can't simply cut a wiper switch hole in an 84-up bezel. I suppose you could re-locate the headlight switch to the 84-up location and swap in an 84-up column ... then an 84-up bezel should fit.
