Hello!
Just thought I would stop in and say hi. Im new on the forum, have poasted a little in the 60-66 board for my 62/69.
I also have a 56 gmc 16' flatbed truck that we use for hauling lumber to our planer mill and deliverys. Off to work on the truck . |

Forgot to add some details. Its got an I6 and a 4spd. Bought it for $700. Ran like crap when I drove her home. I thought it had sucked a valve or something so I started digging in to it and found theat a rod had jumped off the lifter and rocker. was sitting nicely in htere so it wasnt touching anything. No damage. Put the rod back in place and she runs great!
New fuel pump nad a carb kit and its off to work we go |

The body is in great shape, no rust spots to speak of. But the wipers dont work Any ideas on a wiper fix? maby a newer electric system that will work?
Gonna hang some buisness signs on it and take her to the parade this year. |

Nice truck. GMC did have an electric wiper option, I got mine years ago out of an old power company truck. Do a search here there are a couple of threads about using back window wiper motors for the conversion, much cheaper than what the aftermarket guys are charging. Looks like it would take an afternoon to fab and install.
