$50 upgrade

I got a good grill off ebay, some repro amber turn signal lenses and a few cans of paint. The grill emblem was missing the insert, so I rattle-canned some gold there and used 0000 steel wool to polish up the headlight buckets and the rest of the grill trim. The headlight buckets got some black inside. Not bad for a little coin and work.

Re: $50 upgrade

Thanks, guys. Right now I'm spending all my money on collecting engine parts and it's really sucking the budget dry. But I hate the thought of getting it rolling with a great engine and looking like a neglected truck, so I'm hitting up the less expensive and easier projects in and out while collecting the engine stuff.

John,

That's EXACTLY what I did with my 74. I put my nice shiny new engine in then decided the rest of the truck looked like crap, That prompted the TOTAL strip down....
