grille swap out!

I want to eventually change my grille on my 82 out for a new one. I like the grille and headlights that came on the 89 crew cab. Bellow is what I have now and what I want is in the pic of the red truck. Has anyone done this? I am wondering about the wiring differences on the lights and if all the mounting stuff on my truck will fit up with the newer style grille and lights.

Re: grille swap out!

Thanks guys...I new it looked like it should be an easy exchange. But I have never done it and nothing ever goes easy for me..lol.
...would the bottom , long , light basically replace the function of the one that is now located in my bumper?

it is pretty easy. The radiator and condenser do not have to be disconnected, so that makes it a lot simpler. The turn signal in your bumper will move under the headlights. You will probably want to get an 83- up front bumper also. Just take your time, and the swap should go pretty easy.

Nice.........I would contemplate something like this too if I had not taken that front clip off of an 85' some guy let me part out. i still plan on using all of my 82' components up front. Might eventually do a 70's front clip swap since I have (2) of them laying around. Send that grill, headlight bezels, and parklights from the bumper up my way Oldschool..........I will put them to good use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
