Newb from montana

Hey guys, this seems like a great site! I've always loved the old chevs, but the closest i've been to owning one was my first truck, a baby blue 78 LUV, Well a few years ago one of my buddys shows up in a 72 K5 4wd,cst, he had bought it on a whim and said it was going to be to much work for him and wanted to know if i would take it off his hands for $1100.00, of course i did and it got parked out back, between being a contractor with 5 kids and the new house, not a lot of time for the old girl, but lately i've been looking for a project for me and my oldest son "10" to work on together, so i think it's time to drag her out from the weeds, i've been doing some research and thats how i stumbled on to this great site, i'm sure i'll have multiple newb questions for you guys and hope i'm not to much of a pain, I have already learned so much from this site without even asking a question, you guys seem great, and thanks in advance for all your help to come,

Matt...

Welcome from NW Washington. I have been up to Kalispell before, It is a nice place. You came to the right place for good answers. Nice Blazer, what are your plans for it?

Nothing to extreme, and not a full resto, somewhere in between,
it has a 1962 sb 327 that runs in it now and everything works, i drove it to where it sit's now, gonna do some rust repair, paint, prob 6" lift, 35's and go through the 327 and freshen it up, i've always hed a fondness for the 327

Re: Newb from montana

hey, welcome...lived in Kalispell for 10 years back in the 80s..still have friends up there. used to be lots of places right near town to take a 4X4. seems like now you gotta go way up Patrick Creek or out past Ashley Lake or even Marion.
