Tranny Upgrade Poll.

What would you rather do?

Im ditching my 3 on the tree for a TH350 in the very near future.

Would you:
a) Put in a B&M Light Truck Megashifter (so you dont have to mess with a new column and stuff)
b) Get a New Column /w shift linkage so you can keep someone sitting in the middle of your truck
c) Keep the 3 on the tree because its classic!

I kinda want the floor shifter so I wont have to mess with the column, but im not sure how well it would work with my bench.

if you're sticking with the bench seat, i would either stick with the column shift or go with a Lokar shifter. SHould be able to work fine with a bench seat. Of course, if you go with the floor shifter, you're gonna have to get another column or let the empty slot on the column stare back at you.

In either case, good luck!!

1. Get the floor shifter, cause some classic things are better left in the past. (my opinion... )
2. Nothing says speed like a slap-shifter.
3. Cover the hole in your column with the band for your new monster tach.
4. Most of our trucks have bench seats. Where's the problem with a floor shifter and a bench seat.

1. Yes I want one as well. You should not have too much trouble with the bench seat with that shifter with it having a taller base.
2. If you need a new column let me know. I know of a guy on Ebay that sells tilt columns for our trucks rebuilt to GM specs cheap. I got mine from him for $115 shipped and no core charge.
3. Had one on a 84 truck and never will go back.
