Seat Belt interchange

Hey, Was wanting to replace seat belts in my 79 C10. Couldn't find decent ones at pic-a-part but did notice late 80's suburban rear 3pt belts looked similar. Has anyone swapped these with success or had good results with something else?

Good question. I need belts too.

Next time I can get to the wrecking yard I will pull out a set of Suburban rear belts and see if they fit a truck. Good chance they are the same or close enough to work and will probably have much less wear on them vs. a set of front belts.

Re: Seat Belt interchange

I have wondered if the belts from the 88-98 would fit. I want seat belts with only 1 retractor so I can put the kids car seats in. Do the Suburban rear belts have only 1 retractor?

Re: Seat Belt interchange

My co-worker with a 90 Suburban says the outer two rear seat belts have single point retractors and work right with car seats. The middle seat belt in the back is just a fixed position lap belt.
