Frame Shortening ?'s

I'm getting ready to do a 71 4wd longbed to shortbed frame conversion. Last week I looked at the FAQ on it and was sure it wasn't going to be too bad to do. I got the truck in tonight and was going to start on it in the morning. So I go back to the FAQ and there aren't any pictures. I checked my computer and I'm not having any problems with any other pages. Now I'm wondering if it's a sign from above to keep me from doing the deed. Kinda devine intervention or something. Anyways back on track here, would anyone have copies of the photos so I can go cut a truck in two. For some reason pictures bring confidence.
Thanks in advance

Seems silly I know, but if you were not logged in, then often some pictures don't show..

Re: Frame Shortening ?'s

If you know the basic concept (cut 12" out of the middle in a step, it's not hard to figure out yourself once you get in there.

I have a couple of pictures in my "No Buck" build thread.

Re: Frame Shortening ?'s

i did a 45* cut on mine, theres pics in my build thread if you want to check out too. it was a very easy process if you set yourself up for it first. have some braces to hold the frame straight and hold it up while u make the cuts, weld it back up and make sure you reinforce it. measure measure measure before making any final welds.

Re: Frame Shortening ?'s

If you still need pics, I have some I could email you. They are of a frame I did a few months ago. I do mine a little differently, so the pics may not correspond with the FAQ thread you have been looking at. Let me know.
