Introduction ~ New Truck

Hello all -

I've been lurking for the past couple weeks for info and insight before I purchased, but now I've got it. It's my first ever truck (I've been waiting a looooong time) and I couldn't be more excited. It's no beauty queen, but it's the perfect truck for what we need to do around the house (with loads of style and LOADS of learning opportunities). It's a '71 with what I believe is a '70 front grill. 350/350 Turbo automatic. It looks good, sounds good, and even smells good. Just wait until my wife finds out how much this is REALLY going to cost.

Re: Introduction ~ New Truck

Nice truck! Just tell your wife that the parts for these old trucks are way cheaper than the parts for a new truck...well at least mechanical parts are

Or you can use the ol "Ah man, bent a wheel today, looks like Coys is the only company that makes wheels for these old trucks, darn"

More Pics when you get a chance, we are all Picture Junkies!

Re: Introduction ~ New Truck

Just took the wife out for a little cruise for the first time....not too impressed. But I was, so that's all that matters! The only plans so far are to replace the window weather stripping on the doors! Naturally, I've got a host of other plans but none are in the budget at the moment. I'd definitely like to lower the back end a bit and undo some of the performance styled updates in the cab. More pics to come this weekend for sure.

Thanks for all the nice comments, I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time here getting ideas and pipe dreams.

Thanks!
