Wish I could have kept it
Wish I could have kept my 1st truck I had.....
(haha... update added 3/25/10) Just been thinking about it the past few days...... Even found an old pic... This was my 1st vehicle, and I bought it from one of our neighbors from down the street... It had a locked up engine, and I mowed another neighbors yard fro the whole summer for a used engine.... It was a 1982 GMC SWB and had a 350 and TH350, did a few different engine mods, but ended up putting it back very close to stock, had a 4/6 drop on some 15x9 rims... (had a chevy grille when it was sold) Drove it and worked on it all of the way through high school, then traded it to my brother when I graduated, for something with better gas mileage (and a lot more problems).... Thought I had some paperwork around here with the VIN, but I have not found it yet..... My brother ended up selling it to someone in the central Texas area (we were from Houston)...I think he sold it in late 95...IIRC... If anyone knows anything about this truck, or has any info on it, I would love to hear about it.... This is one of the vehicles I wish I would have never gotten rid of... Looks like a nice truck. Yeah the first ones are sometimes the hardest to get over losing.

Re: Wish I could have kept it
So Tommie, Go get you another and clone it to that one. I know the feelings won't be the same but it would make you feel better to own it's brother.
I got a deal working to buy a 79 Camero, I had a 79 Z28 so plan on cloning it like my other.....

Re: Wish I could have kept it
Well,
I guess things happen for a reason sometimes.... I ended up trading my 90' x cab swb for an 86' swb..... the 86 has shaved drip rails and cargo light, roll pan, nice black paint, lowered 4/6... has a bad engine ( I have another) and the wheels pictured were not included in the trade.... plan on finding some rallys to put on there.... (have to find some and figure out what tire size) swapping the engine and getting on the road asap..... Last edited by tommie; 03-25-2010 at 04:47 PM. |
