Re: topless in in so cal!!!

They do make one in white. They have it in black, charcoal, and white. Seems like there are a few guys on here thinking about getting one, myself included. I wonder if we could put together a group buy and maybe swing a deal with Softopper?

They make it in white?? That's one hurdle crossed. Now if I could just talk them into making mine with zip out windows I'd be set.

In which case I'd be interested in a group purchase.

Re: topless in in so cal!!!

I have one of their tops and I love it too.

I used the header bar but that is a good point about flexing.....not sure on that one but it holds just fine otherwise.

The sides will roll up and there are tie downs to hold it up, the rear does the same.

So you can roll it all up and run with only the top as a sun shade.

They do make a zip out rear window that can be replaced with a screen.

It comes with a boot so it can be completely rolled up and stored in the boot for a topless ride and if/when you get caught out in the open in a storm, it's still there for protection.

It's a very good top in my opinion.

I gave my hard top away too.

Ya, I've been down that road with the roll up plastic windows. I'm not much of a fan of that anymore. No matter how carefull you are you end up scratching the hell out of the plastic. As it ages it's also not very easy to roll and is suspect to cracking. I also don't care for the huge rolls flapping in the breeze.
I'd rather zip them out and lay them flat before leaving the house, and let it be. But that's just me.

It wouldn't take much to sew in some zippers while making these tops. If they could do that I'd go for one,,,,even if it did cost more for the zippers.

Re: topless in in so cal!!!

These things are "production" tops.

Once you get it....you can certainly modify it.

Or, give them a call and see if they can make a customized top just for you.

Either way...it's gonna be more than a "production" product.

These are not customized tops...so you really shouldn't expect one ;-)

That's what I was thinking, once the plastic window go bad. I have a local upholstery shop cut the window out and put me some zippered ones.

I'd have to call and see if they would be willing to do it. I wouldn't mind paying extra.
What I don't want is to buy it, then run all over town looking for a shop to make it zipper windows.

I don't expect custom, but in my opinion it should have been incorporated into the top from the get go. All the better made tops for Jeeps come that way. No reason to not have it come that way for a blazer too.
Rolling up plastic windows doesn't work well after time.

I'd be in if we could make a deal with softtopper. Just need to decide on what color I want.
