Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Try to keep your tire diameter around 28-30in. I came up with 245/50 front 27.7in dia...
A 275/45 for the rear is 27.8in dia, But, imo it's not wide enough for the rim.

I ordered the staggered 18x8 and the 18x9.5
I was going to order some 245/40s up and 295/35 in rear.

The 245/40 are real common. 295/40 are NOT common but 295/35 are. go figure. Most tire company recommend a 10in with for the 295s but I dont think .5" will make that big a difference.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

Howdy, I just ordered the 20" 8.5 all the way round. I'll be dropping it 4" in front and 5" in the back with the ECE drop spindle kit. I was thinking of going 255/45 front and back? Is this going to work? Is there a better choice? I'd like to go wider in the rear, but I was thinking of the ease of keeping all four the same. Let me know what you guys think!

"Ease of of keeping all four the same"? I don't understand. Once they're bolted on, where's the difficulty with staggered wheels? Pretty hard to get them mixed up.

I meant for ease of tire rotation. I guess its not a huge deal for me, but I drive a good bit and it would be help with tire life. But....nice fat 295's do look sweet on the back.

245/40/18's and 295/35/18's look awesome together IMO. I ran that setup on my 5"/7" dropped '92 x-cab with Weld Wheels 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear. The 295 was a bit of a squeeze on the 9.5" wheel, but it wore evenly and didn't look 'pinched' at the sidewalls. I ran Bridgestone Potenza SO2's and those are some of the best tires I've ever had.
