Power steering
Practically everyone on here has done the power steering conversion, including myself. My question is, is there any simple solution for fixing the steering to turn as sharp to the right as it does to the left? I figured if I cut the frame and weld in the conversion bracket recessed into the frame it would give me the correct geometry, but was hoping for an easier solution. Thanks Guys.

srry to jack thread but i was wondering if anyone has a
parts list/info on the swap i want to do this on my 61 when i swap to disk in the front? can i just use the powerstering of the doner truck that im taking my front brake setup? thanks for the info guys ray

i thought i was only having that problem because i thought i didnt install the pitman arm corectly. (clocked wrong) is this a common problem or did i do something wrong?

It shouldn't have anything to do with the Pittman arm, it is the geometry. When adding power steering using a adapter plate you are pushing the entire power steering gear box to the left, about 1/2". This is why it turns sharper to the left than the right.
I got all my power steering parts from the donor truck when I was doing the front member swap for disc brakes. If you get one part off the donor truck, get all the parts, I mean everything, even if you don't think you will ever need it, "EVERYTHING". If you don't you will regret it later, every bolt, nut, and washer. |

You should be able to compensate for most if not all of it by adjusting your tie rod ends towards the passenger side.
