Rear Bumper Bracket Question

i have a 1972 chevy c10 with the optional leaf spring rear. when i go to lmc or brothers, all the rear bumper brackets are for c10's with coils. will the 4wd brackets that say they are for leafs work on my 2wd with leafs? thanks for any info you guys can give me

Re: Rear Bumper Bracket Question

They look very similar to what is on my 71 with coils. I don't know if, or what would be the difference, coil VS leaf on the bumper brackets? Unless the bumper on the leaf spring option can carry more weight than the coil sprung models????

Sorry just looked again, LMC says " execpt shortbed models with auxiliary leaf springs ".. So you have a shorty?? My uneducated guess would be the leafs go too far back and the shackels interfere with the brackets????

Re: Rear Bumper Bracket Question

auxillary leaf springs aren't the same as a leaf spring rear end// if you've got a leaf spring rear i'd check on what's required for a GMC truck as they mostly had leaf spring rears
