phantom dually
ok, my buddy just got a 1990 chevy half ton long bed. someone put a dually truck bed on it. and a 31-18.50 tire i kinda like it my question is has any body done this with our body style trucks

Rich Guasco the owner of the AA/Fuel Altered "Pure Hell" owned/owns a '63-'66 C-30 dually that had a mid 80's - early 90's bed installed. They even went and blended the body line from the bed into the corners of the cab and if you didn't know any better you would say it was factory... I will try to find a photo of it.
They actually used this as a tow rig and its last incarnation that I saw had it fitted with a 502 and 700R4 as well as A/c, P/S, Tilt, P/W etc.... He had/has owned it for decades and previously it had a 392 Chrysler in it. There should be no reason why this couldn't be done on a 1/2 ton with the proper wheel tire package for the phantom look. Choo Choo Customs used to do a ton of these in the early '90's. I always liked them. I think it would look good with this body style.

There was one for sale on feebay about a month ago. Think it was a 64, green and in Ct. It was relisted a few times.
