Advice On Replacing Vent Window Seals
I did'nt buy the OEM type rivets nor the setting tool to install the vent window rubber. I figured I could uce another type of blind rivet possibly. What have you used for yours?

I used regular aluminum pop rivets... worked fine... I don't recall what size they were... and pick up some silicone spray... it helps alot!

I used (I think) 1/8" steel rivets, they pulled a little better and the silicone was a huge help too

I used the OEM type rivets and the setting tool. It was cheap so I did it the correct way. I guess it just depends if you are doing an original type resto or not.

Did you guys use the silicone sealer behind the seal to help "glue" it in the track?

I used the spray to help with the install of the channel inside the rail. It fit fine without the rtv.
