metal fab pics

Hey guys, i read the 68-72 board and they suggested I show these to you guys.

I did the metal work on this blazer last year and it just rolled out of the paint booth, these are all the pics I have right now.
The dash is two 55's sectioned together, the ends are cut off and flipped to wrap back in, the owner bought all of the 55 hardware to dress it up including dakota digital gauges. The top of the door is higher than the bed so i cut the door off and fab'd sheetmetal to resemble the top of the bed, it curves and flows into the pillar. The quarter panels under the tail lights are cut out and stretched to eliminate that underbite the mid 70's trucks had without a bumper, the tailgate logo will be the brake lights the red lens material is blocked down to the same height as the bed and is invisible from 20 feet. I also built a motor for this same truck.

Thanks for the compliments.....

As for visiting my shop, Im sorry but i do not have a shop (....yet?) i work full time at a desk and do that on the side. I do hope to reverse that in the future though.

The truck has been in the works for about two years now, money factored in with the owners timeframe, but all of his custom one-off hand made stuff set the pace too. The grill is really cool, i will keep you guys updated as it comes back together. it will look good after all of the 55 trim is on the dash and the grill/bumper is back on.

You can see more of my stuff here: www.hotrodsbyglen.com
