New User Name from SD
I used to be BIGBLOCKNROLL. The truck hasn't had a big block for a long time and the name was alittle "big", so it's time for a change.
$700C10 has a story behind it. My neighbor was with me when I bought my truck, so he knew I paid $400 for it. That summer I took out the 6 cylinder and put in the 427. He would watch me work on it and say "If you would have left it alone I'd have given you $600 for it". He didn't like the big block or the rubber it left on the street. Now that it has a 350 in it he will ask for a ride. When I drop him off at his driveway he smiles and say's "I'll give ya $700 for it". Thus the name. He's 78 and say's it reminds him of his 56 Olds. They sound the same I guess. The truck is a 72 C10 long fleeetside. Originally a 6 cylinder 3 speed. It's the Medium Green 518. Maybe I can get 68C15 to post a picture of it. Thanks for all the help! I have learned alot form this board. |

I think I lived next to that guys brother when I lived in South Dakota. Course they all talk that way there....lol
I lived around Winner, SD for 7 years. Great country...Pheasant capital of the world they say. Never shot any, but they were sure hard on a guys truck grill. |
