K5 & K10 CL score
I picked up a K5 Blazer roller and a K10 rolling chassis with cab & partial clip yesterday as a package off of CL. Came with a perfect 70's front clip minus hood that is painted exactly like my K20 so that will be going on the K20 soon along with fixing the dent in the driver side door.
My 67 C-10 lwb will be becoming a 67 K-10 swb much sooner than I thought thanks to this score. They dashes are pretty much gutted but the suspension and frames were all I was really after so pretty much everything else will go away. I will keep the K10 cab with the frame and build it up with all the parts I have accumulated for the K20 retrofit instead of tearing apart a complete heavy duty K20 truck like I had planned to do before I found this. The K10 has minor floor pan rust that needs taken care of before the interior can be put together but I can get the roller cam TBI 350, 4L60E and NP208 I have that was supposed to go into my K20 put together and installed into the K10 chassis and get it running & driving first. Lot of work to do.

some of you guys amaze me. I look at that pic and wonder 'where would I start'? Looking forward to watching your builds.

Quote:
It was only supposed to be the 74 K10 cab & chassis with a spare set of differentials and I ended up with the whole K5 and two front clips too for the same price because the kid didn't feel like pulling apart the K5 to give me what was in the ad. The K5 is pretty beat and has metal fatigue in the door jambs & rusty pans so I will probably just part out any Blazer specific stuff and put the best of what is there and from my stash into the 74 K10. The rest will get turned in for scrap metal. All I am missing is the under dash HVAC stuff and a bed to make the 74 K10 complete & drivable. I think I will swap in the newer dash from the K5 into the 74 since I like the look better and then I can use a more common Suburban as an HVAC & dash part donor. I could always turn the Blazer into a beater trail truck with all the left over but functional parts from the 74 K10 and my 78 K20.

Re: K5 & K10 CL score
If you were closer, you could pull that thing to my house and I could rebuild my 77' 2wd. A shame to cut up a factory 2wd Blazer but, no title means no fun.....................

Re: K5 & K10 CL score
Unfortunately there are a ton of our trucks running around with transferred VIN tags or no paperwork.
