Question about torque convertors?

in a late 70's TH350 what is the stock stall speed.might buy a new convertor but want something with more stall speed than stock since my motor isnt stock.convertor suggestions are welcome as well.engine and trans gurus help me out here.

We need to more about your engine mods, cam? heads? intake? carb? Stock stall if I remember is 1800-2200 if I remember correctly.

Also, most converter manufacturers can take your info and recommend a converter based on that.

If you contact Coan Converters (in Kokomo Indiana) they will ask for all the engine specs (displacement, cam, rear axle, anticipated usage, etc) and make whatever you want.

Engine specs are as follows

355 V-8(.030 over 350)
carter afb 650cfm carb
edelbrock performer intake manifold
comp cams high energy series duration @.050 212/lift.440''
1 5/8 hedman headers,2 1/2 dual exhausts,cheapy turbo mufflers
stock HEI,accel plug wires,ac delco plugs
double roller timing chain
cast iron heads with 1.94 intake/1.50 exhaust valves
crank cut .010
arp connecting rod bolts
lifter valley pan
windage tray
standard volume oil pump
chrome dress up stuff(air cleaner w/4 inch open element filter,chrome valve covers,oroper pcv setup and chrome timing chain cover
brass freeze plugs
stock starter,alternator,water pump and master cylinder/brake booster

going into a longbed truck that was originally a 250 I-6/3OTT with a 12 bolt rear with 3.73 gears unsure if it has a posi or not,will mostly be driven daily with the occasional drag race along with some light duty hauling and towing,truck has heavy duty suspension,truck is a 2 wheel drive

hopefully that sheds better light into my inquiry.im also open to tips on ways to improve my engine as well so i can get the most out of its performance.bring on the opinions.

stock converter will be plenty good with the cam you have in there now . Too much stall will hurt you if you don,t need it .

thing is in orange crush-unknown gear ratio in rear,2wd,heavy half,31 10.50 tires on 15x8 rallys,stock suspension,longbed,no air,p/s and p/b and not much else weight or mod wise with the above mentioned 355 in it was a dog out of the hole.it would run high speeds ok but off the line was a joke.i think in ol red the engine with a tune up and maybe a few other mods will wake up nicely just trying to get an idea of the convertor i should go with and other mods i should make.
