49 chevy truck rear end swap

so i want to swap the rear end out on a 49 chevy truck. the truck will be running a 350/350 combo. i found a mid to late 80's camaro rear with posi and discs for a good price. my question is, will have any fitment issues? will i have problems finding a booster and master to run front and rear disc? should i just find a posi with drums? this will be my first rear swap and want to go in with as much info as possible. thank you in advance!

Re: 49 chevy truck rear end swap

Kurt there are several different rearends that will work. I am using a f0rd 8.8 myself which is if I remember, abouit 58" from flange to flange.

Here are a couple of links for you to reference.

Good luck with your project.
