'bout time to say hi from northern Ca. (Pics Added)
Hey all. I'm Ryan, and I hail from a small po-dunk town in far northeastern California called Susanville. I've been registered here for a couple months, and have been looking and reading for quite a while longer, so I thought it would be a good time to step out and say HELLO! I am by no means new to car crafting, but this soon coming project will be my first truck. In just under two weeks I will be taking ownership of a 1966 Chevy C10, 2wd longbed fleetside. Currently there is no motor or trans in it, but I am hoping for a 327/700R4 combo to make a daily driver from. I'll add some pics once I have the truck in posession. Looking forward to this new build and sharing stories and info along the way.
By the way, there are a lot of VERY nice trucks here. Hope mine will someday join those ranks. Last edited by fryer1979; 04-04-2010 at 01:35 PM. |

Welcome from Southern Oregon! I used to pass through Susanville back in the day. Seems like a nice area. This site is a great source for restoring a Chevy.

Re: 'bout time to say hi from northern Ca.
Thanks guys. Susanville isn't a bad place to be at all, heck I've stayed here a little over 22 years now. I'm beginning to get tired of the cold and snow, and it's been a lot time since I've been a fan of California politics (as far out in the boonies as I really am, what San Fransisco and Hollywood desides is good for the state effects me too).
I got a few pics of the truck from the guy I am getting her from, so here she is in her worn down state. Not as bad as a lot of projects I have seen an worked on though. I'm really stoked on this build, and can't wait to get started. |
