Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: McGaughy Big Brake kit

Scoti - That set up looks good. I assume that is a 20" Coy wheel in the pictures. Are the holes that the bracket bolts to the original holes in the spindle?

When I called they have a hub for both the HD and LD brakes. The HD hub is not on the web site yet, but the one for the LD hub is the same hub as the one for the GM Tall Spindle HD for the Impalla SS.

The rotors are the 340 mm C6 Z51 Front Rotors. Looks like they have added the 5 on 5 pattern and opened up the center hub hole.

Yes, a 20x8.5" Coy C5 & yes those are the OE splash shield holes drilled out & tapped.

Correct again. The rotors are aftermarket (DBA) & not just GM/OE units.

Re: McGaughy Big Brake kit

I looked a little more on the Kore3's site and now I am REALLY interested in doing this mod to the front of my '98 daily driver. I will most likely hold off on doing this to my 65 for a while. I am going to use 15" ralley wheels for now.

Looks like I have to save my lunch money...

Re: McGaughy Big Brake kit

I modified a stock spindle like shown above and I'm going to cut the rotor portion off of the stock front brake rotor and turn it into a hub.. I'm going to try and put dodge front brakes on this spindle. The front rotor of the dodge has the same register as the fronts 3.08... im sure I can get it to work, but for 50 bucks for a rotor/caliper.. its worth a try. If sucessfull it will match the rears, plus I can grab the master and prop valve and call it a day.. probally wont be that simple but.. all else fails, just grab the hub from Tobin and a set of rotors.

Re: McGaughy Big Brake kit

Scoti that is a really nice looking kit. What is the application on the caliper? Wondering if Wilwood makes a replacement...

Re: McGaughy Big Brake kit

usually kore3 sells either regular corvette or zo6 calipers.

It is a Corvette front caliper with Kore3's logo machined into it. Look on Kore3's web site, I think that they have other Vette calipers and colors also.
