Seat Belt bolt hole

The pervious owner had done repair to the cab, corners and cab mounts. Anyway the outer two seat belt bolt holes,Driver and passenger are covered from both sides, I tried taking a sharpe object and probing for the cover hole. Any ideas? Can I just drill a hole and use a very strong bolt with a wide washer?

Can you not see the captured nut underneath the cab?

Re: Seat Belt bolt hole

I think I would measure a stock cab, and try to pin point yours. But that is a shot is the breeze.

I would not just use a bolt with some big washers, without reinforcing the area. IMHO...

I wonder what the P.O. did???

How do the repairs look, I would be very cautious, about that area when you do get some belts in there.

Re: Seat Belt bolt hole

Here is a picture of the seat belt anchor nuts from underneath, (the two large square nuts located on the rear cab mounts). You can check under your cab to see if they exist.

Re: Seat Belt bolt hole

Mine is the same way. I drilled new holes as close to the original location as I could and then installed the belts with new bolts and new washers top and bottom.

He has a point. I'd be figuring out exactly what the po did when he "patched" those areas. Make sure you have something solid to fasten the seat belts to so that they will actually work as intended if you need them too.
