Doh! Which trans cooler lines are which on the radiator?

I pulled the tranny cooler lines out of the truck and forgot to note which one went where before I yanked 'em out.

So what I need to know is, on the radiator, which is the inlet and which is the return (top/bottom).

Thanks!!

Re: Doh! Which trans cooler lines are which on the radiator?

OK, finally found this:

Quote:
Note:
The fittings on GM transmissions are: Top, return/in and bottom cooler feed/out, except for the TH200C Metric and the 2004R, which are top cooler feed/out and bottom return/in. The fittings on the radiator are bottom in from tranny, top out to tranny.
So the bottom fitting is in from the trans, top is out to trans.

Yup, just think about water flow. Where is the coolest water entering the engine?

Re: Doh! Which trans cooler lines are which on the radiator?

Why does it matter? The radiator is simply a heat exchanger. Fluid loses/gains heat to/from the ambient air/coolant. Direction is not that important.
