FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

I'd like to sell off this 67-72 floor shift tilt column. I've had it for years, intending to restore it. It's complete, but really needs a rebuild and restoration. It's got some surface rust, but should refinish nicely. $275 shipped in the continental U.S. Sorry, no paypal. Thanks.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

Just to be clear, I'm basically selling this as a core. It's not a drop in unit. If rebuilding a tilt column gives you the willies, like it does me, I would pass on it.

If you're that guy who can take a tilt column, buy $100 worth of parts, rebuild it and be into it for $375 or so, this is a good deal for you.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

I'm out. I do sincerely appreciate you pointing out the condition and the skills needed to make this unit right. Although I feel like a reasonable shade tree mechanic, I'm not sure I could do this justice. Thanks anyway and I hope I haven't slowed down your sale too much.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

$250 shipped? Cheap price for a floor shift tilt. Again, I'd plan on rebuilding it. I just don't have the time.

You're tempting me & I don't even have a use for it! That's the cheapest one that I've ever seen here, I'm surprised that it hasn't sold.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

I think there are quite a few guys on here who rebuild them. I thought it would easily be worth it, even as a core.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

I don't see any damage to it at all. It's got plenty of surface rust. I'm sure it sat exposed to the elements for some period of time. I would definitely figure it needs a rebuild. I'm not sure about the parts for this, but I would imagine it needs new bearings, a new turn signal switch, paint and shop time. For somebody who isn't intimidated by that, it's a good deal. For somebody who could rebuild this themselves, they would be into it for low to mid $300's when they're done. Even in todays parts market, that's pretty good.

Re: FS: 67-72 Floor Shift Tilt Column

72K20, you're first up. I'm firm on $250 shipped. It's well worth that. I'm not heading to Dallas anytime soon, so no delivery possible. Let me know.

mahanian, if 72K20 passes, you're up.

Thanks all.
