Cab aluminum wrap trim- Glue on or clip?

Hi,

I want to install the cab brushed aluminum wrap trim (goes under rear window) on my '85 K3500. I found a good one in a junkyard and was hoping I could glue it on instead of drilling new holes and mounting all the clips. Anyone done this? Also, I'm afraid I'll damage the trim removing it from the junkyard truck. Is it hard to remove the trim for the clips? Do you just pry and pop it off?

Thanks,

Dyno

i dont know about glueing it on but its easy to remove just take off the corner peices 3/8 nut on the back side you can reach in and find easy then slide the band off the clips i would not try to pry it off im sure that will damage it for sure the clips just pop off if you lift them up you can get it like that aswell i just rivited th clips on my truck when i did it worked out fine and i know its never coming off

problem with the double sided tape is half the time it down work lol. silicon or rivets are good ideas. idk, just never had good luck with double sided tape.
