Hey ...I'm hunting for a 4 row radiator for my 64. I'm going to be putting in a 454 so I'll need all the cooling capacity I can get. Now I've found some but they are all in the $450 -$480 category. Anybody know a place that can do LOTS better on the price?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Summit universal aluminum radiators. They require a little bit of work to mount them, but they cost around $200 and they work well. Several members here have used them. ChiefRocka did a writeup on it here somewhere.....maybe it's in the FAQ's

there's a place in el monte, ca where i had mine redone about six years ago for my 66 it was a four row and it cost 225. i think the place was harrys radiator, it was a little mom n pop

I agree 100%. Ive used those Summit universal rads in 4-5 cars/trucks with great success.

Im only 35 minutes from the Akron Summit, so its easy for me to get there. And they were priced at under 180 bucks.

Best bang for the buck ever.

I used a 16" x 24" x 1" in my black truck with a 455 and it worked great with an electric fan and no shroud. $180 and about 1/2 hour of bracket fab. The only time it overheated was when I forgot to turn the fan on in traffic...
