Horn switch question
After owning my truck for about 5 years, I decided it was finally time to fix my no horn problem. I narrowed down the problem to the missing spring in the steering wheel. Does anyone have a part number to Napa or anywhere that may have the spring. Also, does it require more than just a spring inside the slot ? Thanks. I dont have my camera so I cant post pics... Thanks in Advance

The horn kits and horn parts that LMC sells (Canceling cam, contact kits etc) will work for the 67-68 steering wheels too. At the most you may have to modify just slightly. I have some of those parts on my 68 with the original steering wheel and they work fine. If you want original steering wheel internals and horn parts for your 67-68 contact Bill at Vintage Chevy Trucks, he's got the real deal.

For 67/8 specific stuff, you also may try Obsolete Chevy. Their website is a little harder to use, but I've found some stuff through them that I couldn't find elsewhere. I bet if you called, they'd be able to locate what your looking for faster than searching their website.

Get a spring from a hardware store or try a jy for parts.

Cool. I missed the pic of the parts assembled, but from reading your instructions on that link, it appears as though LMC's diagram has part #8 (the plastic retainer) out of order. It should actually be installed inside #7 (the metal cup) as opposed to being under it, as they show.
If I'm misunderstanding, say so. I just figured I'd get it all in this thread in case somebody comes looking at it later.
