73 chevy coil wire color
could anyone tell me the color of the positive and negative ignition coil wires.
someone switch mine to hei before i got it. now i need to find the negative wire that went on the coil so i can put a igintion box on it.

There was no negative coil wire in the harness, A wire ran from the negative coil post to the points in the distributor. The old (should be red) positive wire that now goes to the BATT post on the HEI cap will go to the positive post on the old style coil (switched power).
