caliper question

im upgrading to disc brakes on my 67, when i opened everything up there were these little clip type things that came with the calipers just wondering if anyone can tell me what there used for??? thanks

They're probably the clips for the back of the pads to keep them in the piston. I just converted my `70 and that is what was in my caliper box.

If its a small clip almost square about 1.5" in size it's for your brake line to hose mounting. If it's 3" long and looks like a big stretched out paper clip it's to hold your pads in the calipers.

id say its the 3 in. one got it from classic heart beat, so does would it go on the inside pad or the outside pad?

Inside pad. It goes into the cup of the caliper piston and clips to the inner pad.
