Van tilt Vs. Truck tilt
I thought that I knew how to tell the difference between a van tilt column and a genuine 67-72 truck tilt column but I am now not sure. Can anyone out there tell me what the differences were between a van tilt and a truck tilt? Thanks!

Re: Van tilt Vs. Truck tilt
Van tilts have about 4" of the column shaft sticking out of the bottom of the column. The truck tilt has 1 1/2" or there abouts. Also the nutral safety switch on a van column is up about 3/4 way to the top and the truck's is near the bottom where it passes through the cab. WES

Re: Van tilt Vs. Truck tilt
I have heard to collapse the steering shaft by drilling the two plastic inserts, and then moving the neutral safety switch. there is a FAQ. I will see if i can locate it.
