2wd vs 4wd ride height
I'm looking at getting a 99 Chevy 1500 2wd and I'm just wondering what the difference is in ride height between a 2wd and 4wd- in reference to the distance between the fenders to the center of the wheels. I'm wondering what it would take to make the 2wd sit like a 4wd. Could anyone help me out with these measurements or your suggestions? (No need for a 4wd, I just like the stance, and its too good a deal on the truck to pass up.)

Re: 2wd vs 4wd ride height
I knew I would have to lift it, just wasn't sure how much. I just want a factory look. I'm wondering if a 2" leveling kit for the front would do the trick? Not sure how the rear compares.

Re: 2wd vs 4wd ride height
on my truck it is 37 and 1/2 inches from the ground to the middle of the wheel well above the tire on the front and rear. Im running 285/65/16s and i cranked my torsion bars to level it out. hope this helps

Re: 2wd vs 4wd ride height
Looks great! Is it lifted at all - or just the torsion bar adjustment? How about the measurement from the center of the wheel to the fender? I'm not going to be running tires that big so from the ground the measurement would be different..
